2.1. The last three years average use by the Airport is approximately 200,800 pounds per year of solid deice product. The product must be sodium acetate, sodium formate or sodium formate/acetate blend based. 2.2. The product must meet FAA approved specification. SAE AMS1431F (or more current version). 2.3. Solid deicing products must be available in metric‐ton “super sacks” as well as pallets of 55‐lb. bags (40 bags per pallet). 2.4. Solid Deice must not clump up or become hard during delivery or storage (airport stores solid deice on racks in a dry and heated (55deg. F) facility) for one year. Any bags that are found to be hard during receipt or within one year of storage shall be returned for replacement or refunded fully.
