The Contractor shall furnish and deliver on an as ordered basis, Reinforced Concrete Pipe and Structures in accordance with the current Road and Bridge Specifications of the Virginia Department of Transportation; Section 232 & 302 and Road and Bridge Standard Section 100 Drainage. Round RCP shall be ASTM C76 Class 111, and shall be furnished in 8 foot joints. Elliptical RCP shall be ASTM C507 Class HE 111 and shall be furnished in 8 foot joints. Copy of these publications can be obtained at: http://www.virginiadot.org/business/const/spec-default.asp. All pipe shall have holes pre-made for placement and loading and unloading and shall be accompanied by rubber stoppers for the holes on top. Large Pipe, 36 inch and above shall be straight wall tongue and groove joints. Pipe under 36 inch shall be either straight wall tongue and groove or bell and spigot type joints. Any damaged material will be returned to vendor at their expense. Contractor shall supply all waterproof seals for pipes and structures. Contractor shall also ensure hooks are attached for placement of structures prior to delivery.
