2.1. Procurement and Distribution of Items ➢ Procure and deliver a comprehensive assortment of merchandise to stock each of the eighteen (18) school-based closets ➢ Items must include: • New and gently used everyday clothing for all genders and sizes. • School uniforms as required by Lawrence Public Schools policies for approximately twenty-five percent (25%) of students. • Seasonal outerwear and accessories (i.e., coats, boots, hats and gloves) • Basic toiletries such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, shampoo, soap and feminine hygiene products ➢ Initial delivery and stocking will commence upon awarding of a contract with the City of Lawrence Public Schools. The goal is prior to the start of the 2025- 2026 school year. Note: Special items such as uniforms which are made to order maybe delayed based on the execution of the contract. 2.2. Ongoing Closet Maintenance and Restocking ➢ Ensure all closets remain fully stocked and operational throughout the entire school year, with supplemental deliveries made, as needed and required. ➢ Restocking will occur at no additional cost beyond the annual sponsorship/bid. ➢ Respond to specific item requests from schools to meet the evolving needs of students, based on the products available. 2.3. Training and Support ➢ Provide training to designated school staff or volunteers on closet organization, restocking procedures and inventory management. ➢ Supply training materials or guides as part of on-boarding for new closet coordinators at the school level. 2.4. Fundraising Partnership ➢ Collaborate with Lawrence Public Schools to identify and pursue additional fundraising opportunities to ensure the long-term sustainability of the closets. ➢ Actively collaborate with the school district in securing ongoing sponsorships and donations required to keep closets operation in future years. 2.5. Communication and Responsiveness ➢ Maintain regular and responsive communication with Lawrence Public Schools through: • A designated point of contact available via email of phone. • Scheduled check-ins with Lawrence Public Schools staff to address concerns or requests. • On-site visits as necessary and required to ensure closet functionality and satisfaction.
