The Penobscot County Commissioners (County) believe the District Attorney's (DA) office is currently in office spaces not sufficient to meet current standards. The current plan is to renovate the current County Commissioner's courtroom into additional office space for the DA's office. This document provides instructions for submitting proposals, the procedure, and criteria by which the awarded firm (Contractor) will be selected. The proposed work will be based on the information provided in this document. The bid All work must meet all applicable Codes and Standards, and any work, such as, but not limited to, changes to the structure of the building must be approved, and stamped, by applicable engineers, licensed in the State of Maine. The scope of work will include: Removing the current courtroom bench; Remove old carpeting; Creating doorway in southeast corner of new office space; Building a secure vestibule at the current room entrance to include; Receptionist window with bullet proof glass and/or bank drive through sliding drawer, so the receptionist can safely interact with the public; Card reader access from receptionist vestibule into office spaces o Lighting; • Telephone /Network; Power, telephone, and network along the outer perimeter for up to 12 work stations; New closet in southwest corner; Eliminate, frame and drywall 2nd and 3rd entrance along west wall; New Interlock carpet tile; Paint the entire space
