SCOPE OF WORK • Perform medical examinations and be responsible for the care, monitoring and health of animals in the custody of Campbell County Animal Services; • Perform general surgery, including but not limited to spay/neuter and soft tissue surgeries, rabies vaccinations, etc. for animals in CCAS care; • Examine and develop treatment plans for animals exhibiting signs of illness, injury or disease; • Licensed Veterinarian or Veterinary Technician available for phone consultations 24/7 and availability to respond in-person and provide treatment during medical emergencies; • Assist Animal Control Officers with cases, including but not limited to examining animals, treating animals, necropsy, writing reports and providing court testimony when necessary; and • Evaluate and make recommendations for the humane euthanasia of suffering animals.
