1. Provide instructors that are certified to teach First Aid, CPR, and AED training through an entity such as the American Heart Association, etc. 2. Provide on-site CPR, First Aid, and AED training that meets a certified curriculum equal to American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI), American Heart Association (AHA) and/or the American Red Cross standards and adhere to the OSHA guidelines. 3. Provide CPR, First Aid, and AED training services to the maximum of twenty five (25) DLS workers who are working in a high containment Bio Safety Level 3 (BSL-3) Laboratory Environment. 4. Demonstrate knowledge of the BSL-3 Laboratory Environment, including: a. Victim assessment and assessment for victims wearing a layered Powered Air Purifying Filtered Respirator (PAPR) hooded suit. b. Proper emergency alerting, response, and communication. c. Victim retrieval techniques using drag blanket and rescue rope. d. Victim transport from a negative pressure confined area to safe decontamination zone. e. Protective suit removal and cut techniques. f. Proper decontamination techniques focusing on avoiding exposure from infectious aerosols and liquid transfer. g. CPR, First Aid, and AED techniques with focus on PAPR victims. h. Briefing first responders on victim condition and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. i. Communicating responder entry route to secured BSL-3 negative pressure area. j. Communicating emergency exit routes with focus on transport from secured negative air pressure room. 5. Simulate training for a response to a victim in a secured negative pressure BSL-3 isolation room with personnel fully suited in a layered Tyvek suit with a PAPR hood, secured connecting belted hose, and battery powered battery pack. 6. Provide attendance log or class roster for each session, including training date, instructor name, students, and course completion status 7. Provide certification cards to staff upon completion of class. 8. Ensure all training equipment is clean and sanitized prior to student use. 9. Provide required training materials to students. 10. Provide training between December 2025 - June 2026. 11. Conduct classes during working hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. 12. Collaborate with DLS to reschedule classes. 13. Conduct in person training at DLS location only (not online classes). 14. Ensure a cleared room upon departure once training is complete.
