Administration and performance of the work shall be subject to the General Conditions, Special Conditions, Drawings, and these Technical Specifications. Should it be discovered that information within these technical specifications conflict with the General conditions and or supplemental requirements, the Contractor shall promptly notify the Engineer for clarification, inclusion, or revision as appropriate. The Work consists of deepening and expansion dredging (New Work) with a maintenance dredging option (Maintenance Work) at the CARE Wharf 2 located adjacent to the Houston Ship Channel on Buffalo Bayou in Houston, Texas. Approximate coordinates are as follows; CARE Wharf 2 – 13,838,759N 3,204,389E (ref. Texas State Plane Coordinate System, South Central Zone, NAD 83, in U.S. Survey Feet). Placement of dredged material shall be at the Lost Lake dredged material placement area located adjacent to the Houston Ship Channel near Lynchburg Road (reference the following coordinates: 13,846,061N 3,209,430E). Contractor can also propose alternative placement areas but would require approval from the Port of Houston Authority.
