Statement of Work The Contractor will excavate, remove, and replace eroded waste (sewer) pipe in Building 9, located on the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) O.D. Heck Campus, 500 Balltown Road, Schenectady, NY 12304 for OPWDD Capital District DDSOO. The sewer and storm drainpipe underneath Building 9 needs replacement. The Contractor will provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to scope of work. Work is to be completed within 40 working days of award, unless modified below. This is a NYS Public Works project, and prevailing wages are to be paid, and Certified Payrolls must be submitted at time of completion. All tools must be always controlled, and debris, tools, and materials secured and stored at the end of each workday. Upon completion of waste pipe replacement, and before the removal of equipment, the Contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality assurance inspection with Plant Superintendent or their representative. The scope of work is depicted and highlighted in Exhibit A – Diagram. Detailed Specifications This project is for the replacement of a 60-foot section of decomposing sewer branch line, up to 240 feet of the sewer main, and up to 240 feet of storm drain. The pipes are believed to be 4” pipe buried 3 to 4 feet underneath a concrete slab. The sewer main serves the second floor and connects with a kitchen and 3 bathrooms on the first floor. The sewer main and storm drain will require evaluation to determine the length needed for replacement. Scope of work includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1. Confirm locations of pipes via drawings and camera radio signal. 2. Cut concrete slab and excavate pipe. 3. Prepare trench, through additional filler and/or compaction to provide a solid bed, suitable for pipe to be sloped at a minimum 1/8 inch per foot. 4. Install properly sized pipe conforming to material requirements of NYS Plumbing Code, Table 702.3. 5. Reconnect incoming branch lines from bathrooms, kitchen, and other sources.
