Proposals are requested by the Erie County Department of Environment and Planning, Division of Sewerage Management (DEP/DSM) for a three (3) year term agreement for various projects (work orders) in Erie County Sewer District Nos. 1 through 6 and 8. For each work order issued, all improvements shall be consistent with the guidelines as established in the latest edition of the “Recommended Standards for Wastewater Facilities” (10- State Standards) and the “DEP’s Construction Specifications”. Force main and pumping station structures, channels and wells shall be sized for 50 years of growth and process/mechanical equipment for a minimum of 20-year service life. All new building designs and/or building alterations shall comply fully with the requirements of New York State Building Codes. Gravity sewer system components shall be designed, and materials so designed and installed, shall provide service for 50 years of population and flow rate growth. Review of Facility Planning Documents prepared for this project. The Engineer must determine to his own satisfaction that the design parameters are adequate and notify the County in writing of this determination. In the case of Facility Buildings and/or pump station sites, the Engineer shall prepare a parcel map and legal description which shall accurately indicate the land area to be purchased by the County and the additional area (temporary working easement area) required to construct the proposed improvements. The Engineer shall prepare an Engineer’s Report which shall establish the criteria for design.
