I. Maintenance: 1. Biannual Maintenance (4 visits per year) • Check vehicle barrier raises fully up • Check vehicle barrier lowers fully down • Check safety traffic light accessory, if equipped • Check safety vehicle detector loop accessory • Check safety strobe light accessory, if equipped • Check safety audible warning annunciator, if equipped • Check EPO Feature, if equipped • Check Barrier for any non- flush drive surface • Check barrier drive surface for bent plates • Check barrier drive surface for protrusions or raised bolts • Check for hydraulic leaks under vehicle barrier • Check for hydraulic leaks at hydraulic line connection points • Check drainage system for standing water • Check hydraulic fluid leaks • Check for loose mechanism fasteners • Check pivots for missing grease fittings • Check linkage and pivot joints for wear • Check toggle mechanism for free, non-binding operation • Check vehicle barrier up position sensors, if equipped • Check vehicle barrier down position sensors, if equipped • Touch up paint any vehicle barrier exposed surfaces • Lubricate all linkage and pivot joints • Check barrier cylinder clevis pins are secure Check that filter indicator is showing “clean” • Check for hydraulic leaks around and under HPU • Check for hydraulic leaks at line connection points • Check hydraulic fluid in reservoir • Clean motor fan guard of debris, if motor is TEFC type • Check for loose fasteners • Check for loose hydraulic fittings • Check if accumulator pre-charge pressure is correct • Check for loose or disconnected connectors • Check for kinked, abraded, cut, or other damage to hoses • Check for abraded, cut, or other damage to electrical wiring 2. Annual Maintenance (1 visit per year) • All items included in biannual schedule • Check barrier cylinder for excessive clevis pin wear • Check barrier cylinder for excessive bushing wear, if equipped • Re-torque fasteners • Re-torque hydraulic fittings • Clean all pivots and linkages of excessive lubrication • Remove and clean off all dirt, grime, dust, and sand • Check barrier position sensor actuation points, if equipped • Lubricate electric motor bearings • Check pump/motor drive coupling secured and engaged • Check pump/motor mounting is secure • Check pump/motor shaft guard is secured • Check TEFC motor fan and shroud are secure • Clean electrical enclosures, including interior • Check pressure switch set-points • Check all indicator light lamps • Clean Operator Control Panel panels • Clean Operator Control Panel enclosures, including interior • Check the enclosure seals • Touch up paint as needed • Check hydraulic fluid condition • Drain, Clean-Out Reservoir bottom and replace hydraulic fluid • Replace filter element
