The goal of this project will be to conduct a feasibility study and develop a minimum of one conceptual design (10%) for improved stormwater management, streamflow protection, and downstream wetland system of the Flett Wetlands/Creek. This project is a continuation of a previous feasibility study associated with the South Tacoma Channel Stormwater Infiltration Project identified in the WRIA 12 Watershed Restoration and Enhancement Plan, which was estimated to offset approximately 700 acre-feet per year. This study completes additional tasks needed for the strategy. The objectives are sustaining wetland/stream baseflow in dry months; reducing peak flows with increased water storage volumes; & improving water quality.
