The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as “VDOT”) is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide Incident Response Services, traffic control and Minor Unplanned and Planned Maintenance for the EAST OPERATION AREA of the Richmond District’s Interstate Maintenance North, on an as needed basis, in accordance with the specifications contained herein. The Contractor shall furnish such services in Chesterfield, Henrico, Powhatan and Goochland counties, and the City of Richmond and Colonial Heights on Interstate and Primary routes. The Department currently has need of a Contractor to serve as the Prime Contractor for the EAST OPERATION AREA. The awarded contractor shall also be required to perform work in the West Operation Area when requested by VDOT. Due to the need for a separate Prime Contractor assigned to each Area of Operation, VDOT will only consider offers from bidders that are not the current Prime Contractor for the WEST OPERATION AREA.
