The City of Burlington (“City”) Department of Public Works Water Resources Division issues this Request for Qualifications to procure an engineering firm through this qualifications-based procurement process to provide professional engineering services for the College Street Outfall and Stormwater Separation Feasibility Study. The intent of the feasibility study is to study the stormwater collection system and the associated watershed areas to identify the feasibility of and pursue design of multiple potential separation projects in the area. The proposed projects may include, but are not limited to, modifications or extensions of the College Street stormwater outfall to reduce the impacts of the outfall on the shoreline connection of a separate stormwater trunk main for the lower two blocks of Main Street, stormwater separation within Cherry Street and Battery Street corridors and collection of runoff from other possible combined watersheds to separate stormwater systems. Opportunities for reduction (through green stormwater infrastructure as feasible) or treatment of stormwater should also be examined to minimize impacts of the separation projects on water quality.
