III. Scope of Services The selected Consultant, upon request of the City, shall review plans prepared by, or on behalf of an applicant, for compliance with building laws and City and State code. When satisfied that the plans comply with the applicable building laws and code, the Consultant, upon request of the City, shall conduct on-site inspections. Following completed review and/ or inspection, the Consultant shall approve plans and forward to the City for review and permit issuance. The selected consultant( s) may be asked to perform some or all of the following tasks: Provide full code reviews of plans submitted with building and fire permit applications including but not limited to: o Marking up plans to identify deficiencies. o Preparing comment letters and matrixes to communicate deficiencies. o Speaking/ meeting with applicants and designers to answer code review related questions. o Additional services as related to building permit plan review, including but not limited to: Review plans for compliance with building laws, City and State code Approve plans and forward to the City for review and permit issuance Structural review Architectural review...
