A. ROUTINE SERVICES: 1. Provide three (3) business days notice to the Contract Manager or designee, prior to commencement of testing. 2. Retest devices that may fail at no additional cost to the State. 3. It is the contractor’s responsibility to verify all fire systems have been put on test mode before testing. 4. Test, inspect or repair additional devices throughout the term of this contract. 5. There may be times when the facility cannot have water interruption during regular hours. After hours or weekends may be needed. 6. Contractor agrees to warranty labor for a period of ninety (90) days. 7. Contractor agrees to warranty parts, material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year. 8. Contractor will notify the Contract Manager or designee of any recommended repairs and obtain approval prior to commencement of repair work. 9. Contractor agrees to meet or exceed State testing procedures and water authority requirements. 10. Contractor agrees to perform all work to industry standards and complete work in a time, efficient and professional manner. 11. Contractor will remove all equipment, trash and debris when leaving the job site. 12. Contractor to check in at the Security desk prior to commencing work. Contractor shall wear company uniform and provide photo identification. A visitor badge shall be visibly worn while performing work on the premises. Contractor shall check out with Security at the end of the work day. B. ANNUAL MAINTENANCE SERVICES 1. Test and certify all backflow devices annually, every year in October, as required by Otay Water District. 2. Complete paperwork documenting the backflow testing and after backflow testing, provide such documentation to the CalVet Contract Manager or designee, and the local water district, Otay Water District. C. EMERGENCY SERVICE Contractor shall provide any necessary emergency repairs upon request from the Contract Manager. Contractor must respond to requests for emergency repair within two (2) hours of notification from the Contract Manager or designee. When possible, emergency repairs will be performed during normal business hours as specified herein. The State may, at its discretion, allow access to the equipment during non-business hours when necessary. If non-emergency repairs are required, Contractor shall respond within twenty-four (24) hours of notification from the Contract Manager or designee. Emergency services provided by the Contractor, if at the specific request of the State, will be compensated for actual hours worked on site at the Contractor’s emergency call hourly rate, as specified in Exhibit B-1, Rate Sheet. Any emergency repair service provided shall be completed the same working day, unless written notification delay is submitted to the Contract Manager immediately upon diagnosis of equipment deficiency. Any parts requiring replacement will be replaced in accordance with the Parts Replacement section specified herein. D. INCIDENTAL REPAIR SERVICE Contractor shall provide unlimited visits for any repair services requested or necessary to keep the equipment fully operational. Repair services that are not provided during regularly scheduled maintenance visits, or not covered by the Scope of Work, shall be compensated by the State for actual hours worked on-site at the Contractor’s Repair Hourly Rate as specified in Exhibit B-1, Rate Sheet. Any parts requiring replacement will be replaced in accordance with the Parts Section. Repair service will be provided upon written request from the Contract Manager. Contractor shall respond to requests for repair service within two (2) hours of initial notification. Every effort shall be made to perform repair services during normal business hours; State holidays and weekends excluded. The State may, at its discretion, allow access to the equipment during non-business hours when necessary. Non-emergency repair services performed outside of normal business hours must be approved in advance in writing by the Contract Manager.
