The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority ("Authority") seeks proposals from a qualified contractor/vendor (“Respondent”) to design, fabricate, deliver, install, operate, and maintain a roof-mounted utility-interactive solar photovoltaic (PV) system) at the San Diego International Airport (“Airport”) under a power purchase agreement (PPA). The project involves two separate but adjacent solar PV electric systems at San Diego International Airport. The first system, located on the eastern half of the New Terminal One (“NT1”) roof, also known as Phase 1A, is expected to generate at least 1.7 MW DC of electricity. The second system, situated on the western half of the NT1 roof, referred to as Phase 1B, is also anticipated to produce a minimum of 1.7 MW DC. The Authority anticipates entering into a Power Purchase Agreement which covers the design, fabrication, delivery, installation, operation, and maintenance of the PV system and the sale of power to the Authority from the successful Respondent with an anticipated term of twenty (20) years.
