I. SCOPE OF WORK/DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS (SPECIFICATIONS) Establish a term contract to Pump, Haul and Dispose of Kitchen Waste at Bland Correctional Center located at 256 Bland Farm Road, Bland, Virginia 24315. A. The Contractor shall provide all equipment and labor necessary to pump, haul and properly dispose of kitchen waste from the grease trap. The tank holding capacity is approximately 3,200 gallons and requires approximately 3,200 gallons to be pumped once per quarter. Service required an average of once per quarter. It needs to be pumped between the hours of 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. B. Service to performed on an as needed basis, within 24-48 hours of notice. The DOC will contact the Contractor to schedule service. C. Bidders shall include the following documents when submitting their bid: 1. A copy of the Bidder’s current permit to haul sludge, septic tank waste and/or grease (whichever is/are applicable to the solicitation) as issued by the respective County Health Department. 2. A letter from a licensed receiver (or potential receiver), stating that they will accept Kitchen Waste from the grease trap from the Bidder. The receiver of the Kitchen Waste can be a licensed receiver of the Bidder’s choice. Failure to provide the above referenced documentation may result in declaring the bid as nonresponsive. D. Method of handling and disposal shall be in compliance with all applicable County, State and Federal regulations. E. The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all appropriate licenses and permits required for the performance of the resulting contract
