VADOC is issuing this RFI to gather information about the acquisition of systems that could be used for electronic and automated secure storage and tracking of supplies used at Department of Corrections facilities throughout the state of Virginia. Information received in response to this RFI may aid in the development of a request for proposal leading to the selection of a vendor for the installation and configuration of a secure storage and tracking system. To better evaluate our options, the Health Services Unit (HSU) is seeking responses from companies currently in service, who manufacture and offer these types of systems. The Commonwealth would like vendors to describe systems that use modern technologies and can scale to support increases in work over the coming years.
