The scope includes the identification, collection, transportation, and proper disposal of human biohazardous waste (“biowaste”) and other hazardous materials, as well as site decontamination, soil remediation, and restoration as needed. Common waste types may include but are not limited to human feces and urine (e.g., in bags, buckets, or on the ground), soiled hygiene products, improvised waste containers (e.g., bottles, bins), syringes and sharps, contaminated materials, and bodily fluids. The Contractor must respond within the required timeframes and comply with all applicable local, state, and federal health and safety regulations. All services must be performed using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and industry-standard safety protocols, in close coordination with Valley Water and, when applicable, law enforcement, public health, or sanitation agencies.
