4.2. General Scope of Services 4.2.1. Price quotes shall include FOB shipping and administrative costs to the vendor for filling the order and documenting the shipment. KDOT will place one order twice per year in the five years of the contract. Each order will consist of 750 to 1500 total seats. The seats will be distributed to approximately 120 sites across Kansas. Seat orders will be prepared according to vendor case quantities (ex. if booster seats are boxed four to a case, distribution will be in quantities of four). All seats shall meet or exceed all U.S. Federal safety standards for motor vehicles and aircraft use, and must not be under a current recall, whether the recall is voluntary or mandatory. Vendor must notify KDOT of any voluntary or mandatory recall of previously purchased seats. Program Operation. The vendor shall comply with the provisions found in the most recent Certifications and Assurances Attachment that applies to subrecipients. This Certifications and Assurances Attachment is reviewed and signed by the Secretary of KDOT annually as part of the Secretary’s Annual Grant Application for federal grant funds under 23 U.S.C. Chapter 4 or Section 1906, Public Law 109-59. The current Certifications and Assurances Attachment is attached to and made a part of this contract, and annual updates can be found at https://www.ksdot.gov/about/our-organization/divisions/transportation-safety. 4.2.2. The types of seats that the vendor shall be able to supply are as follows: Convertible • Rear facing: 5 – 40 lbs./ 19” - 40” child height** • Forward facing: 30 – 65 lbs./ 34” - 49” child height** • Five-point harness Belt-positioning Booster • No back • Used w/ vehicle safety belts: 40 – 100 lbs./43” - 57” child height** **Maximum weight/height requirements of the seats are general and may vary up to 5 lbs./5in., with the exception of belt-positioning booster, which shall meet or exceed 57” child height. All types of seats may or may not be ordered each time.
