The Kansas Department of Corrections (KDOC) is accepting bids for Laundry Machine equipment service, repair and parts. The awarded contractor shall be able to service commercial laundry machines at all KDOC facilities and political subdivisions. This would include but not be limited to maintenance, repair, and the purchase of parts. All parts utilized on the unit(s) and purchased for the units shall be new and unused. Pricing for materials and parts shall include any and all shipping charges to the address of the requested delivery location. The awarded contractor will be required to provide a quote prior to the order being placed. Itemized quotes are preferred but not a requirement for this contract. The agency will be required to attach said quote to the purchase requisition for purchase review and payment approval. Invoicing must match quoted pricing, if there is an error in the quote the contractor must provide a revised quote as soon as the error has been discovered. The agency will be required to attach any revised quotes to the purchase requisition or purchase order. Payments will not be approved until the quoted pricing and the invoiced pricing match. The State of Kansas will not be penalized for late payment if contractor has failed to provide the required documentation. Preventative Maintenance Checklist Washer Maintenance shall include but not be limited to the following: • Inspect for proper door operation. (Solenoid, switches, latches, magnets, etc.) • Check all manufacturer safeties – door, balance, switches, etc. • Check inlet, flush and spray pressure hoses for leaks/corrosion • Inspect chemical supply box for chemical build-up. Flush if needed. • Check door gasket for proper seal verifying no leaks or damage • Check door hinges and bracket fasteners • Check and clean inverter box filter and fan • Check and tighten anchor bolts • Check/inspect all belts for excessive wear. Test tension • Clean and inspect motors. Lint removal and check for damage • Lubricate main bearings if needed • Operate customer cycle with full load and verify performance • Check/flush water valves for proper open and close functioning • Inspect internal drain system – pipes, hoses and valves • Inspect all inlet water diaphragms inside water valves • Inspect all circuits, contactors, relays and computer for build-up or loose connections or short circuits • Inspect main bearing for wear or play outside manufacturer’s tolerances Dryer Maintenance shall include but not be limited to the following: • Complete operational check of all safeties including door, panel and sail switches • Check exhaust duct system for lint build-up. Check dampers and back pressure • Inspect burner, basket and lint trap for lint build-up • Check and clean motor for lint build-up, bearing play and vibration • Check all belts for fraying, alignment and excessive wear. Test tension • Complete operational check of controls and valves including computer, ICM, gas and transformer • Verify each temperature setting for each dry cycle • Verify that cool down settings are working properly • Remove and clean burner tubes • Remove front panel and clean lint build-up • Delivery to Facility Location
