SCOPE OF WORK: Work will consist of furnishing notifications, fees, labor, materials, disposal needs, equipment, and warranties. Contractor is responsible for all necessary permits, providing supervision, quality control and safety during the entire project. Contractor will be responsible for having all underground utilities marked prior to Job Start. Contractor is responsible for implementing best practices to protect the environment in accordance with state, local laws and provisions in the California Military Department environmental recommendations provided. Work shall be performed during normal business hours, unless otherwise specified. Any damage done by the contractor shall be repaired or replaced at no additional cost to the Army National Guard. All concrete and asphalt removed shall be recycled or utilized on Post by Camp Roberts DPW, Contractor will coordinate with DPW for location. Submit copies of recycled material weigh master tickets to the government. The primary objective is to update and repair the existing road with new AC pavement and improve storm water drainage from the site. Other design objectives include the following: New HMA Full Depth Repair Culvert Replacement New Concrete Headwalls/Flared End Section New Signage & Striping Submitting Manning Rosters Weekly for access to Camp Roberts. All Personnel will follow the Real ID Act. Providing a Resident Project Superintendent to observe construction of the project. All required labor, tools, equipment and materials unless otherwise noted. All required excavation, dewatering, backfill, compaction and restoration to grade, and testing. Acceptable bedding as specified. Subgrade will be protected from damage and maintain it in a smooth, compact, and rutfree condition until the base course has been placed. Disposal of all surplus or waste materials, unsuitable materials, and debris. Protection of existing utilities, including but not limited to locating, diligent care in handling and working around, relocating or repairing if needed. The actual area of material placed will be determined by measurements taken and confirmed by the Contractor. Performing clearing and grubbing required to prepare new paving area as shown on the Site View. Adjusting Manhole frames and covers and drain frames and covers as necessary to match with new pavement surface. All clearing and site work repair required to leave the site in good condition.
