The Town of Rocky Hill Connecticut is soliciting proposals from qualified consulting firms to submit qualifications and proposals for the design of a replacement for the Beach Road culvert. The design should provide for a minimum 24’ pavement width able to convey a 100-year storm with appropriate freeboard and existing underground utilities, if found. The design should also investigate the possibility of including a snow shelf, sidewalk and future utilities. Consideration should be given for fish and wildlife passage as there is a pool on the west side with fish in it. Traffic must remain open to residents on the north side of the culvert. Therefore, a temporary bridge may be and should be included in the design.
