1. The Contractor shall furnish all framing supplies and materials necessary for the specified framing and engraving products and services for the Department of State Police on an as needed basis. The Virginia State Police will provide the Patches, Badges, ID Badges, City/County Badges or Patch, and the certificates used with certain framing jobs. 2. The Contractor shall have the capability to lay out the job, cut/join the frames, mount items to be displayed by siliconing them in place. After mounting, they shall be covered with 3/32” single strength glass. Other jobs shall require framed work such as to dry mount a certificate using horizontal layout with 3/32” regular single strength glass and backed with one piece of acid-free foam board. 3. A significant portion of the framed work require engraving plates. The Contractor shall furnish the engraving plates. The plates and engraving services must be included in the bid price. The engraving plates utilized shall be as follows: a) 3.5” W x 2 ½” H b) Made of silver metal with a black-colored coating and 1/16” thick. c) Point sizes range from 3/16” inch to 1/4” inch.
