The University is looking for a service provider for telephone-based nurse triage services for University Health Services (UHS) during hours UHS is not open. After hour telephones calls from patients will roll over to the chosen Contractor who will answer the phone during the hours UHS is not open. The Contractor will triage the calls accordingly to established protocols, document and report phone calls and transmit updated medical information to the appropriate clinic by the next morning by fax. The level of access the Contractor will have to the caller’s health information would be limited. The contractor will be required to document caller interactions electronically. While the ability to provide this electronic documentation is mandatory, the ability of the service to schedule follow-up appointments within the UHS appointment system is preferred but not required.
