Shelby County wishes to engage the Vendor(s) selected through a competitive process that will work well with the County’s personnel in the performance of the Goods/Services, in a cost-effective manner, and applying SCG LOSB Ordinances. The intent of this request is for Shelby County Government is for Shelby County Government to identify a vendor to provide cleaning for Carpet, Vinyl, VCT & Brick Floor Maintenance for various Shelby County buildings for Departments and Offices on an "As Requested, As Needed and Where Needed Basis." The vendor will provide a price quote per sq. ft. and an alternate overall quote of the job types each for shampooing carpet, stripping & waxing/refinishing, Machine-Wet wet scrubbing, and buffing various kinds of floors, including wood floors. The vendor will be responsible for providing detail floor care services, including shampooing and spot-cleaning carpet; cleaning, waxing, stripping, scrubbing, and buffing vinyl/VCT and wood flooring; and deep cleaning and scrubbing of brick flooring to remove buildup and maintain surface appearance. Brick surfaces are not to be stripped or waxed unless specifically directed by Support Services. Identified service areas will be based on the approximate square footage of the requested locations. All floor services will include the restoration of carpet on an "As Requested, As Needed, and Where Needed Basis" for the various County facilities. The term "Restorative Cleaning" used herein shall mean shampooing carpet or spot and stain removal when the carpet's appearance has degraded to unacceptable levels. The objective is to remove all recoverable soils and return the carpet's appearance to an acceptable condition. The vendor will be available to provide floor maintenance services if needed, (7) seven days a week, Monday through Sunday. Will perform most floor services after working hours of 4:30 pm. Weekends hours can vary. All floor maintenance is subject to prior approval from the Custodial Manager or Deputy Administrator arranging access.
