1.1 Summary The University of Florida (UF) is seeking a strategic partnership to update its rideshare service offerings on and around its Gainesville campus. The desired programs will offer safety and convenience to UF students and employees, while enabling the selected partner to integrate deeply with the local transportation ecosystem and travelers. Key areas of interest include: • Campus & Local Transportation Services o Ride-hailing o Micromobility o Car rentals o Food delivery or courier services o Transit solutions (Partner with city and public transportation agencies to integrate its services into broader mobility networks.) • Discount & Loyalty Programs • Academic Integration and Research & Development opportunities with UF programs • Development of Customized Solutions • Added value to the University (examples: sponsorship of campus events, scholarships, internships/career partnerships etc.) The University of Florida is distinguished by its unwavering commitment to excellence in every area of operation. Partnering with UF means aligning with an institution that values impact, connection, and continuous advancement. 1.2 Scope of Work The selected vendor will provide UF with the following: Technology Requirements • Vendor App(s) and Website(s) must enable UF students, faculty and staff (“riders”) to: o Sign in and verification for current program eligibility as described in “Rider Eligibility and Student Verification” below o Electronically hail transportation only during each service’s designated hours ▪ Note: Each program’s designated service hours may be adjusted at UF’s discretion, with reasonable notice to the vendor. o Request on-demand single and/or pooled rides within the on-campus and off-campus service areas shown in the attached exhibits for the On-Campus Safe Ride Service, Campus Cab (Exhibit A) and for UF Safe Rides (Exhibit B) o Request ADA-accessible rides for wheelchair users for all services o Receive discounted rides or rides at no cost to the rider when UF covers the full fare (as detailed below) Rider Eligibility and Student Verification • Access to all UF rideshare programs and services must be limited to current students, faculty and staff only as designated by the University. • The vendor must implement a rider identity verification process to confirm eligibility prior to allowing access to UF programs and services. • The verification process must: o Authenticate users through either their UF-issued credentials via SSO protocols (preferred) and/or email address with an appropriate domain (e.g.@ufl.edu)
