State of Wisconsin, through the DNR’s Remediation & Redevelopment Program, conducts ongoing monitoring of groundwater contamination originating at the landfill. The primary groundwater contaminants are volatile organic compounds (VOCs). This scope of work describes the requirements for collecting and analyzing groundwater samples from 48 monitoring wells and 13 private residential drinking water supply wells. Attachment A - Specifications/Scope of Work (included in RFB) sets forth the requirements for performing sampling and analysis of selected groundwater monitoring wells at and near the Refuse Hideaway Landfill (RHL) and privately-owned residential drinking water supply wells downgradient of the landfill. The scope of work also includes measuring of water elevations in all the RHL monitoring wells, preparation of groundwater flow maps and reports, and submittal of data for DNR’s GEMS system.
