The project is a Community Development Block Grant program project and involves the installation of 10,602 linear feet of a six-foot (6ft.) wide sidewalk system. The project consists of general construction activities associated with sidewalk installation. The project specifically addresses a lack of sidewalks within a geographical area of the city. The project is financed by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and administered by the Florida Department of Commerce (Florida Commerce). All official ITB documents and future addenda materials will be distributed to potential bidders having registered their interest with the city by communicating with Martin Field, Construction Supervisor at fieldm@cityofnewportrichey.org. Attention to bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract, Section 109 of Executive Order 11246, and all applicable laws and regulations of the Federal government and bonding and insurance requirements.
