The City of Tallahassee owns and operates seven (7) Wartsila reciprocating engines, each equipped with its own emissions control system. Over time, the catalyst bricks within these systems degrade and require replacement. This request for bids is for the removal and installation of catalyst bricks for the Hopkins Generating Station and Substation 12 reciprocating engines. Hopkins Generating Station operates five (5) Wartsila 18V50SG reciprocating engines, each with its own emissions system reactor vessel. Each reactor contains four (4) rows of catalyst bricks: • Two (2) rows of NOx catalysts • One (1) row of ROM catalysts • One (1) row of oxidation catalysts Substation 12 operates two (2) Wartsila 20V34SG reciprocating engines, also each with its own emissions system reactor vessel. These reactors also contain four (4) rows of catalyst bricks with the same configuration: • Two (2) rows of NOx catalysts • One (1) row of ROM catalysts • One (1) row of oxidation catalysts It is anticipated that catalyst brick replacement will be performed annually on one or more of the engines at either Hopkins Generating Station and/or Substation 12.
