1. Completely remove two 4-bedroom 1.5-bath concrete block buildings of approximately 1,275 square feet each. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Removal shall include complete structure, foundation, driveway/parking area and utility feeds from the main supply trunks to the unit. Alachua County Housing Authority staff along with the City of Alachua will work with contractor on utilities. a. Water lines are to be removed and secured at the meter with the meter remaining. (City of Alachua) b. C. Electrical feed lines are to be removed to the pole. The pole will remain for now. (City of Alachua) Sewar lines are to be removed to the connection point with the main line and caped. (City of Alachua) i. There are old abandoned septic tanks behind the units. These are to be crushed and filled per code. (ACHA will provide approximate locations of these tanks) ii. These units are currently on City of Alachua sewer service but have at least one old septic tank behind the unit d. Gas meters and lines to be removed and secured. The gas company will remove once a contractor has been selected. (Davis Gas is the provided) These units have non-friable asbestos mastic under the VCT tile floor that will need to be addressed in the process of demolition. (see attached picture) a. Costs for any asbestos abatement will need to be included in your quote with the abetment company listed as a sub-contractor. b. All pertinent information for the asbestos sub-contractor will need to be included with your quote All debris to be removed and disposed of properly at dedicated landfills and/or recycle centers. Asbestos debris must be removed per state codes with a certification letter provided to ACHA at the completion of the abatement. Site is to be secured at all times. Grounds are to be free of any debris, divots, equipment trenches, etc. and leveled/seeded after completion of demolition. 7. All permits are the responsibility of the contractor.
