This Specification covers a fully formulated ethylene glycol base permanent type Antifreeze, which provides corrosion protection, lowers the freezing point, and raises the boiling point of the coolant. Such compounds are intended for a minimum of 1 year, 150,000 miles or 4000 hours in a properly maintained cooling system. Antifreeze shall not contain a sealer additive. The antifreeze shall meet Cummins Published Engineering Standard specification 14603 or revised for use in the following Heavy-Duty diesel & CNG engines: Cummins ISB, ISL, ISX, L9, ISL-G and L9N. The Antifreeze shall also provide the following protection(s): • Adequate heat transfer • Cavitation damage to both cylinder liners and water pumps • Corrosion/erosion resistant environment • Corrosion inhibitors • Prevent formation of scale or sludge deposits • Be compatible with cooling system hose and materials • Adequate freeze protection
