The purpose of this document is to solicit qualifications from professional architect, planning, or engineering consultants to develop and finalize project scope, architectural, engineering, and related professional services for the development of construction bid documents for the City of Valdez Baler Repairs. The City of Valdez Baler Facilities are experiencing significant decline and are nearing the end of their lifespan. Some of the failing conditions include the trash baler itself, poor drainage systems, building damage, flooring deterioration, and lack of space for daily operations. Consultant will be responsible for the tasks identified below (not an all-inclusive list): 1. Assist defining project scope for the replacement of a new Baler, as well as an inperson assessment of the Baler facility to determine additional repairs/replacements that may be necessary including value engineered solutions and improvements. 2. Engineers rough order of magnitude (ROM) estimates of all proposed recommendations. 3. Providing construction administration services such as quality control, submittal review, pre-bid and bid assistance.
