The Contractor shall perform regularly scheduled pest control operations weekly. Spray outside of all eighteen (18) buildings. The scheduled day of service will be determined at the outset of the contract and remain constant throughout the term of the contract unless changed by mutual agreement. During the scheduled pest control operations, the Contractor shall perform additional services that may be required due to sightings or other similar type of requests that are reported to SEVTC. Rodent infestations located in burrows in the ground adjacent to buildings are included. Any insect or rodent infestations in buildings or underground tunnels shall be reported immediately to the Contract Administrator. When necessary, the Contractor shall install rodent bait boxes and/or glue traps. While on the premises during a service call, it is the responsibility of the Contractor to check all traps and glue boards and dispose of all carcasses and live rodents off SEVTC’s premises. Upon prior SEVTC approval, poison bait may be used only when necessary and when other methods of eradication have proven ineffective. Contractor shall identify, eliminate and control insects and rodents to include roaches (all species), centipedes, silverfish, worms, common ants (excluding carpenter, fire and pharaoh), crickets, earwigs, ground beetles, millipedes, pill bugs, sow bugs, spiders, mice, rats and spring tails. When conditions are conducive to breeding and harboring of pests covered by this Contract, they shall be reported to the Contract Administrator, Martin Johnson, Director of Buildings and Grounds for evaluations and/or action as approved by SEVTC’s Facility Director. The Contractor shall provide an inspection report and/or service record to SEVTC upon each visit. All service visits will be scheduled at a time of day which will least interfere with normal operations. SEVTC desires a work schedule on Wednesday between 7:30 am – 2:00 pm. The Contractor shall carry a cell phone while at SEVTC. SEVTC reserves the right to provide the Contractor with a radio to be used at all times while on SEVTC. The Contractor shall report to SEVTC any unsanitary conditions or unsatisfactory structural situation, which could be potential rodent and insect nesting places. When and if fogging, or any other type of treatment that would tend to make an area uninhabitable for any given time it is deemed necessary, a mutually agreed upon date for such operation must be established at least one (1) week prior to its use. No materials or equipment may be stored or left unattended on SEVTC properly without the express approval of SEVTC. The Contractor shall be responsible for controlling employee conduct, assuring that its employees are not boisterous or rude, and assuring that they are not engaging in any destructive or criminal activity. The Contractor is also responsible for ensuring that its employees do not disturb papers or use State phones, and the like, expect as authorized. SEVTC reserves the right to request the removal of any of the Contractor’s employees form the premises at any time for reasonable cause. Any such request will be made only to the Contractor or his supervisory personnel.
