• The selected consultant will provide specialized design and engineering services related to airfield electrical and lighting systems. Typical services under Area Class 2.09b may include, but are not limited to: • Design of airfield lighting systems, including taxiway and runway edge lighting, approach lighting systems, guidance signs, and precision approach path indicators (PAPI) • LED transition planning • Electrical system upgrades and rehabilitation projects • Design of airfield electrical vault systems and backup power sources • Development of photometric and illumination analysis for FAA compliance • Preparation of construction plans, specifications, and estimates for lighting/electrical projects • Construction administration, including shop drawing reviews, contractor coordination, and FAA grant documentation assistance • Quality control and assurance during construction • Coordination with GDOT, FAA, GAA, and other stakeholders as necessary
