This project will include rebuilding the four central air-handling units which are now 30+ years old. The frames and walls of these air-handling units are serviceable, and plans would be to reuse them. Fans, heat wheels, control valves, the heating, preheat and cooling coils would be replaced in these 100% outside air units. Controls would be updated from pneumatic to DDC. Recently one of the two boilers was replaced. This project would replace the remaining boiler and upgrade the controls. The proposed project will provide much needed facilities-based improvements including new and improved compressed air and vacuum systems. Additional improvements would include redundant chilled water pumping, and duct cleaning and upgrades to our BAS network engines.
