• Review, analysis, interpretation, and opinions regarding federal, state, and local laws, regulations, rules, policies, contracts, procurements, ordinances, charter and other related legal documents applying to the City of Liberty Hill. • Legal counsel/advice regarding human resource matters such as FMLA, ERISA, workers’ compensation; and labor laws such as EEO/Non-discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, civil rights protections, and other applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. • Represent the City of Liberty Hill in related litigation and legal affairs • Advocacy and representation in grievance and/or complaint proceedings or hearings • Review and comment on procurement and contract documents, including facility leases • Advice on matters related to the Open Records Act and Public Information Act. Coordinates open records requests with the city secretary • Advice on all matters related to statutes and regulations pertaining to the City of Liberty Hill • Attendance to the City of Liberty Hill meetings as requested or required • Serves as municipal court prosecutor • Provide legal advice on land use, annexations, and zoning • Other related legal matters may be determined by the City of Liberty Hill • Assists with the creation, review, implementation, and interpretation of development agreements • Assists the city with Interlocal Agreements and Memorandums of understanding • Interaction with Federal, State, County and Independent School District legal officials • Renders opinions on financial and taxation related issues • Maintains an updated and current legal project tracking system to be shared with the city
