(a) Contractor shall perform highly advanced (senior-level) work for the Office of Court Administration by providing deputy court reporting services throughout the Business Court Divisions of this State. (See map: https://www.txcourts.gov/media/1458995/texas-business-court-divisions-map.pdf) (b) At OCA’s direction, Contractor shall: • Attend in-person court sessions and as the court may allow, using videoconference technology and accurately report or record oral testimony offered during a hearing, including objections made to the admissibility of evidence, court rulings, remarks on the objections, and exceptions to the ruling. • Transcribe testimony and prepare transcripts taken at hearings and other proceedings in accordance with established formats. • Verify the accuracy of transcripts in accordance with established policies and procedures. • Provide accurate transcripts of the reported evidence or other proceedings, in whole or in part, in compliance with court orders, the Texas Rules of Evidence and Texas Rules of Appellate Procedure. • Oversee and maintain logs and file exhibits offered during proceedings. (c) Contractor agrees to perform the Services during times to be mutually agreed upon by Contractor and OCA. A Contract resulting from this RFQ does not guarantee the acquisition of a minimum number of hours of Services. OCA cannot and does not guarantee the acquisition of any Services listed in this RFQ.
