Gas blenders shall have a fully documented and implemented quality assurance program. Blenders shall test each lot of gas in accordance with accepted industry practice for precision gases. At a minimum, blenders shall analyze five (5) cylinders or 3 percent of each lot, whichever is more. In addition, each lot of gas containing Nitrous Oxide shall be held for at least one (1) week and, at the end of the week, a similar (randomly selected) sample from the same lot shall be re-analyzed to check that the blend has not degraded due to insufficient passivation, inadvertent introduction of impurities, etc. For each lot, the test results and the number of cylinders in the lot shall be made available to BAR upon request. Documentation shall be maintained for a minimum of three (3) years. BAR may order or perform spot retesting of gas blends at random. Blender shall take back all gases/blends that failed BAR’s internal audit at no cost to the State. Blender shall supply the correct gas/blend if BAR discovers fault gas/blends at no additional cost to the State...
