This Bid is for the replacement of two passenger elevators serving the six floor Sozio Residential Building at the main campus of Kean University in Union New Jersey. The selected contractor is expected to complete all required work in order for the two passenger elevators to be operational and pass inspections for use no later than August 15, 2026. Separate work as required for the construction of a new elevator machine room on the first floor is EXCLUDED from this bid request. The ancillary work to create the ‘new’ elevator machine room is expected to be completed by other contractors on May 15, 2026 in order for the Elevator Contractor’s work on site to proceed. Ancillary work as required for the construction of the ‘new’ elevator machine room on the first floor is EXCLUDED from this bid request, as noted in the construction documents. Coordination for completion of ‘new’ elevator machine room between successful bidder & ancillary trades will be required.
