The City is now seeking information from qualified ISPs to discuss entering into a multi-year (minimum 5, maximum 15) public-private partnership with the City to: 1) Provide operations and maintenance on the fiber and conduit shown in Figures 1 and 2 (including locates/811 and relocation) and, when constructed, the fiber and conduit shown in Figure 3. 2) Provide Internet service for the City’s businesses and residents The City will retain ownership of all fiber and conduit but will make up to half the capacity of the path (i.e., 144 strands) available to the ISP on favorable terms on the condition that the ISP use that capacity to serve the City’s businesses and residents. In addition, the City will allow the ISP to lease strands on that capacity to other customers, under terms that will allow the City to share in the revenue from that lease.
