Village Entry Signs The Village is not able to facilitate the construction of all signs indicated in the signage location map due to budgetary constraints, as well as planned construction projects in those areas in the next 1-2 years. The intent of the Village is to construct three (3) signs this year, dependent upon budgetary means, and three (3) additional signs together, at a later time. Replacement of the three (3) existing signs will occur first, followed by the installation of three (3) new signs. For this reason, the Village is requesting unit pricing for the fabrication and installation for the next two (2) calendar years, as optional price options. The scope of work for this project includes, but is not limited to: - Fabrication of signage based on the concept signage in Exhibit A - Installation of signage at the approximate locations marked in Exhibit B - The signs should be made out of the following materials: o Rock or Faux rock bases o Concrete or rock cap o Cedar-tone treated 4X4’s, or trex artificial wood (the Village is looking for pricing for both) o Cedar-tone treated 2X8 upper support brace, or optional trex artificial wood (the Village is looking for pricing for both) o All bracketry to be powder-coated black o All fasteners to be stainless steel o Sign material to be Foam or metal with insulating material utilized for all connection points, or a suitable long-lasting alternative. Police Department Marquee Sign (Optional) During its initial design conception, the Village’s Police Department intended to have a scrolling-video marquee sign in front of the building. Due to budgetary constraints, the sign was removed from the scope of work. The Village now wishes to move forward with the fabrication and installation of the marquee sign for the Police Department. The marquee sign will bring necessary visibility to the Police Department as well as allow the Police Department to communicate with residents and non-residents via an additional channel. The marquee sign concept, as well as the location map, are outlined in Exhibit C of the bid materials. One inch (1”) conduit runs from the Police Department to the proposed sign location site. The scope of work for this optional portion of the project includes, but is not limited to: - Fabrication of signage based on the concept signage in Exhibit C - Installation of signage at the approximate location marked in Exhibit C - The sign should be made out of the following materials: o Rock or Faux rock base o Color/Design to match the existing character of the Police Department building o Scrolling Video Screen o The Police Department Badge should be illuminated o Sign material to be Foam or metal with insulating material utilized for all connection points, or a suitable long-lasting alternative.
