Task 1. Project Start Up • Review past reports and meet with BPL project representatives to get oneself fully informed on the project. • Orient self with the McKim building through building tours, meetings with operations and key staff. • Plan out the full scope of this study phase with BPL project leads and create a detailed schedule with benchmarks and deliverables. Task 2: Technical Studies and Debriefs For the following contracted work, develop scopes of work for, procure through Massachusetts state procurement law, manage and coordinate work, verify and coordinate all deliverables, provide debriefs and interim updates to BPL, assemble a network file for all study deliverables and progress reports, and makes accessible to BPL and designated consultants: • Provide, (retain architect), develop agenda, coordinate, and oversee debrief (half day) with Shepley Bullfinch Architects and selected BPL staff to debrief on the 2021 McKim Master Plan • Provide, (retain architect), develop agenda, coordinate and oversee debrief (half day) with Rawn Architects and BPL staff to discuss Boylston Building renovation project • Convene sustainability workshop (one) with City Office of Sustainability to review City’s sustainability requirements and set sustainability goals for the McKim project. Procure, and administer contract and deliverables, for: • McKim Building Documentation—Creation of a 3D model of the McKim building, as well as accurate floor plans and elevations of these buildings. These drawings must include our stacks. • High resolution digital color photography to document all McKim building interiors, including each room, corridors, and service areas. Images to include overall views, elevations, ceiling, and major architectural features. Coordinate folders and directories to make photo archive accessible to BPL staff and consultants. • ADA study of the McKim building and areas connecting McKim to Boylston Building, identifying current conditions, proposed solutions, and requirements for alternate compliances. MAAB is the required standard for ADA compliance.
