General Duties: Provide 24 hour coverage, 7 days a week. Utilize regularly assigned staff on regular schedule and for any callouts, vacations, or other open shifts. Perform regular building rounds as described in building protocols and standing orders (generally on an hourly basis). Lock and unlock doors/gate on given schedule in protocols. Monitor building alarm systems and notify facility personnel as required. Notify facility personnel of any maintenance issues observed, through written reports or direct/immediate communication depending on urgency or seriousness. Monitor use of assigned handicap parking and any blocking of Fire Lanes. Provide directions to any arriving ambulance/EMT, police or fire personnel as needed. Assist/direct any clients/visitors to the building to various program offices. Maintain Visitor and Contractor Logs as described in building protocols. Respond to reports of disorderly people or requests for assistance and be prepared to call 911 if needed. Be familiar with all building protocols and standing orders for the site. General Expectations: Wear appropriate clothing/uniform as directed by company policies, with an identifying patch and a professional appearance. Maintain a clean and organized work area, free of trash, food containers, excess clothing, and other personal items (cell phones, laptop computers, etc.). Be familiar with various programs operating within the building and their locations. Shift reports are to be completed after each shift and copies made available to facility personnel on a regular basis for review. Copies of Incident Reports should be made available asap for review by facility personnel. By the next morning of a regular workday or sooner, depending on the time and seriousness of the incident.
