GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS A. Remove and replace existing manual gate with a new automatic swing gate. B. Furnish and install hinges, keypads, and mechanical openers. C. Contractor shall access power from the CHP facility and install electrical conduit, pulling all necessary cabling to the control panel and for each gate operator. D. Provide (2) Remote control openers. E. Lube all points of friction, including but not limited to, rollers, bearings, gears and guides, etc. if required. F. Ensure the gate is balanced and make any adjustments needed for proper clearances and tolerances. G. Contractor shall install a flat bar to close any gaps created in the gate, allowing for proper installation of a magnetic lock. H. Test the function of the gate to ensure it is operational. I. Oil any moving parts, align, tighten drive chain on gate, set limit switches, etc. if required. J. Contractor shall install vehicle loops to both sides of the gate and shall back fill, ensure level and patch with asphalt cold patch. K. Contractor shall provide and install the required UL 325 and ASTM F2200 compliant safety devices to meet current code requirements. L. Contractor shall keep the work area clean from debris and remove all trash, including packaging materials off-site daily. M. Contractor has ninety (90) days from the project start date to complete project. If more time is needed to complete the project, the contractor can make such requests with the Facilities Coordinator. N. Contractor shall warranty work for a period of two (2) year after installation and provide manufacturer’s warranty on equipment installed. O. The replacement equipment and installation must be compliant with the California Code of Regulations, Title 24, Part 6, regulations.
