2.1 All sirens in the County are Federal Signal brand 2.2 Vendor must be certified by Federal Signal to perform repairs and maintenance on the sirens in Lancaster County. 2.2.1 Vendor shall provide proof of certification upon award. 2.3 Vendor shall provide repairs and maintenance on the sirens including but not limited to the siren head and internal components to ensure proper operation according to the Manufacturers standards. 2.4 Vendor must have the personnel and equipment to perform repairs and maintenance on all sirens on an as-needed basis. 2.4.1 Subcontractors will not be allowed to perform work for the Vendor without prior approval of the Contract Administrator. 2.5 Vendor shall coordinate work repairs and maintenance with the Emergency Management Director or their designee hereinafter referred to as Contract Administrator. 2.6 Vendor shall not cut and patch operating elements or safety related components in a manner that would result in reducing their capacity to perform as intended, or result in increased maintenance, or decreased operational life or safety. 2.7 Shall not cut or patch construction exposed on the exterior or in occupied spaces, in a manner that would, in the Architect’s opinion, reduce the building’s aesthetic qualities, or result in visual evidence of cutting and patching. 2.7.1 Remove and replace work cut and patched in a visually unsatisfactory manner. 2.7.2 Obtain approval of the cutting and patching proposal before cutting and patching. 2.8 Vendor shall be responsible for acquiring and paying for all permits, fees and licenses required by Local, State and Federal requirements associated with the work to be done. 2.9 The Owners are requesting that all Contractors be available to perform services during unforeseen emergency situations such as natural or man-made disasters. 2.10 Vendor shall have warranty parts, inventory and capabilities to repair all Federal Signal emergency sirens for the Owners. 2.11 Department shall discuss the repair/replacement with the company representative and determine if repair is an emergency, non-emergency or can wait for next available time slot to make repair/replacement. 2.11.1 If non-emergency repair/replacement is required, Vendor shall respond onsite within 8 hours of initial call from the owner. 2.11.2 If emergency repair/replacement is required, department shall indicate emergency situation, and Vendor shall respond onsite within 4 hours of call.
