All 1% milk (white) must meet USDA specifications and contain at least the minimum fortifications of Vitamins A & D as required BY THE USDA. All non-fat (white, chocolate, and strawberry) must meet USDA specifications and contain at least the minimum fortifications of Vitamins A & D as required by the USDA. *NEW* Added Sugars: ● Yogurt may have no more than 12 grams of added sugars per 6 ounces (2 grams of added sugars per ounce). ● Flavored milk may have no more than 10 grams of added sugars per 8 fluid ounces or, for flavored milk sold as a competitive food for middle and high schools, 15 grams of added sugars per 12 fluid ounces. Milk must be handled in strict accordance with the best sanitary practices, and delivered in leak-proof, clean cartons and clean cases. The milk will be delivered at forty-degrees fahrenheit or cooler. Vendor’s HACCP plan will be made available, upon request by the school district. Milk cartons must be sealed so that they are easily opened by students of all ages. The supplier of these milk cartons shall be notified of any problems and such problems must be rectified within two (2) weeks.
