The Texas Animal Health Commission (TAHC) is seeking a qualified individual or firm to perform Internal Audit Services (Services) pursuant to the requirements set forth in Texas Government Code, Chapter 2102, Texas Internal Auditing Act. Section 2102.005 specifically requires a program of internal auditing that minimally includes: (1) an annual audit plan that is prepared using risk assessment techniques and that identifies the individual audits to be conducted during the year; and (2) periodic audits of the agency’s major systems and controls, including accounting systems and controls, administrative systems and controls, and electronic data processing systems and controls. In conducting the internal auditing program, a state agency shall consider methods for ensuring compliance with contract processes and controls and for monitoring agency contracts.
