The District employee population is approximately 1,900 and it includes 800 union, and 1,100 non-union employee positions. There are 1,300 employees assigned to one of seven reclamation plants; 500 employees work in its two corporate offices; and 100 field employees work in the Cook County general area. The Information Technology Department at the District is located in the Corporate Office of the District in Chicago. ITD provides services to Finance, Procurement, Human Resources, Monitoring and Research, Engineering, Maintenance & Operations, Treasury, Law, and General Administration. The ITD also maintains District networks, telephone and communication systems. The SCADA systems operated on a separate network for plant operations are maintained by the Maintenance & Operations Department. The District’s application technology environment includes: • SAP ECC 6.0/EHP4 on Microsoft SQLServer on a Virtualized Windows platform supporting the Finance, Materials Management, Human Resources, Funds Management, and Corporate Finance Management modules • SAP Net Weaver 7.1 for Internal and External Portals, Employee Self Service, Business Warehouse, SAP Document Management, Public Budget Formulation (PBF), Process Integration (PI), Composition Environment (CE), Business Objects, and NWDI. • Non-SAP systems are ESRI Geographic Information System (GIS), Laboratory Management System (LIMS), Maintenance Management System (MMS), and PreTreatment Information Management System (iPACS), Industry Safety, and Sigma. • Majority of personnel use desktop and laptop devices running Windows Server 11 64 bit; some laboratories have PCs that interface with instruments running either Windows 7 or Windows 10. • Microsoft Office software/O365 is used for business and report writing applications
