The project consists of all labor, materials, equipment and disposal to perform the following: Work shall include, but not limited to, alteration to the existing Film Studio 1141, Storage Room 1231 & Corridor 1C14 in the School of Communication & Media, to accommodate a new Virtual Reality Lab - inclusive of an Immersive Classroom and Free Roam Pod – coordinated to the needs of the Virtual Reality Developer. MSU would like to maintain as much of the existing Film Studio (Acoustic wall panels, curtain track, pipe grid & equipment) as possible for future reconfiguration back into a Film Studio If/When the VR space is expanded & relocated. In kind with this effort, a raised access floor will be deployed through most of the space to allow for minimal disruption to the existing slab and ease of reconfiguration. The ramps shown are to be accessories of the selected access floor system. There is an existing curtain wall at the end of Corridor 1C14 that will remain in place. This project will clean up the interior face for aesthetic purposes but will remain largely in tack as-is. Overall interior project work area is approximately 2,450 SF.
